visit to the Country House Park |

where
we can find various typical species
of Mediterranean bushes of which …….. cork trees,
mastic trees, arbutus, heather, myrtle. In the
park it is possible to see different archeological exhibits
which date back to the Vada Volaterrana period,
as capitals, parts of architectural pillars and friezes. Of
notable importance the tombstone which remembers Pupienia
Cethegilla, daughter of the Emperor of Rome, in III century
a.d. To be noted the two sarcophaghi dated Longobarda
VI &VII a.d. All of these exhibits, notified by the Soprintendenza
Archeologica della Toscana, have been brought to light in
the period "Bonifica Maremmana" in the area of Vada
and moved to inside of the park to prolong their memory.

To
be seen, at the bottom of the park, the coffee house,
where afternoons were spent in good weather. A small
tombstone dated 1908 remembers "Dick",
Ugo Ginori-Conti's faithful dog. Going back to
the main house, on the right in the Torrino(tower) building,
it is possible to see the "Concaio"(potter)
or washhouse where the daily laundry was done.

This
route places attention on the history
of the rural world, in its complex life in the fields and
that of the farm and the rural house. In the area
where the warehouse used to be, have been found a rich selection
of equipment and machinery connected to the world of farming.
Saving objects which were no longer in use and had been abandoned.
Those objects which had also been donated by locals. See
"Museum".

Horse-riding
trips are carried out along old country roads belonging to
the House and confining properties. The routes are designed
to unite the pleasure of horse-riding with the scenery of
the countryside, and so discover the
typical rural look of the Tuscany countryside.
The rides are organised daily by prenotation. See

Also
on offer, the possibility to host horses which are taking
part in equitation events. Horse
riding lessons are held, teaching how to mount a horse
and how to look after it. Paying special attention to the
horses diet. See "Horse-riding".
