On
the ground floor of the Country House, the part where
the rustic style still
dominates, having been used in the past as a store room for
the farm, and for its characteristic architecture, can be
found a small museum of rural history.
It consists of all the objects conserved
or forgotten in the different parts of the House and that
been grouped together in a collection showing materials and
their time periods.
Many objects have been donated to the museum, in rememberance,
by old people or nobility and others, who have no longer any
use. To remember the things, which have now been taken over
by progress, were once the way of life, recent history of
a world which now seems a long time away.
We can admire utensils from the kitchen and
the home, instruments from the canteen, the
machinery for working in the fields, from the usual
to specialised tools of the carpenter, blacksmith and
farrier, in other words lots
of curious objects like the "barcocchio",
the washing list made of wood or the cupboard where cheese
was grated !!
